Kelly was born in 1977 in Plymouth where she lived until she was twelve when the family business moved to Cornwall. Holidays in Cornwall even from such a young age have made Kelly appreciate her life here, thus influencing her vibrant paintings.
"For me, being an artist was something I began to build years ago. Having a good tutor at college was very encouraging, giving me confidence to take my studies further, gaining a Diploma of Art and Design from Falmouth College of Arts. From here I took time to travel surviving by decorating ceramics and painting murals and local scenes".
Since returning, Kelly has worked in three galleries and assisted Paul Jackson at his pottery, whilst also having received funding from the Prince's Trust.
